How often do you change sheets?

Since Evan is a stomach sleeper, I usually change his sheets twice a week, more if he is sick. DH thinks this too often. He thinks once a week is good, but more often if he is sick.

What do you do?

Dx: PCOS and short luteal phase
18 cycles (3 with our RE) - Metformin + Clomid + HCG booster did the trick!

Re: How often do you change sheets?

  • We usually change once a week....sometimes once every two weeks if I am being lazy Embarrassed  (but in my defense, he is not a baby anymore, so no more "spit up").  I wouldn't be able to keep up with twice a week or more!  Kudos to you!

  •  When he slept on his back it was probably once a week or once every 2 weeks.

Now that he flips to his stomach there are always drool spots so I change it about twice a week or as needed.

  • Once a week.  They fit so tight it's a major PITA to change them!  If a diaper leaks or they are sick or other thing (climbing in bed with dirty shoes comes to mind) I change them as needed.

This. A couple of her sheets show everything so I feel the need to change those more often.

  • I'll just go with "as needed". As a baby DD did not move at all in bed. I put a waterproof lap mat thing under her head and heiny and they few times she spitup or had a leak they were on the mat. DS always slept with us, so it was different. But as a newborn he was sleeping in a little bed inside our bed and that probably got changed 2x a week because he just seemed messier than DD... or maybe I was just lazier about 3am diaper changes.

I agree with your DH, once a week is plenty when not sick.

  • Awesome! I think I'll do away with the mid-week sheet changing. All of this laundry is killing me.  Smile
