Funny things DS does while nursing when very tired

He has a few new "tricks" that he started when trying to fall asleep for naps. He sometimes claps his hands above my breast, signs milk over and over, squeezes my breast like he's trying to squeeze the milk out, and sort of does this fist pump thing while grunting... all with his eyes closed and still drinking. It is the funniest thing, and I have to keep myself from laughing because he is almost asleep!

Just thought I would share. Do your LO's do anything cute or funny when tired?

My LO pinches NON-STOP! It is so strange because he always has to have a finger in my bellybutton. ha!

Haha, these kiddos know what they want! DS has been doing that too for a while now, and now he'll just pull my shirt down, I swear he's like a horny teenager sometimes.

E does very similar things to these! Since we nurse side-lying for bed & naps, he's, obviously, lying on one side or the other... well he can't figure out what to do with his top leg. He fidgets it around for quite some time before he finally finds a comfy spot for it & goes to sleep. I found if I support that leg with a pillow, it helps him!

But he also sometimes claps his hands or smacks my breast a billion times. And when he's not really very tired, he pulls off mid-nursing, examines my nipple & then practices his pincer grip on it! Ouch! And then he flicks it with his finger.

He's also recently very fascinated with faces, so while he's always liked sticking his fingers in my mouth, now he also squeezes my nose & tries to poke my eyes out!

Haha, I forgot about the leg one, I joke DS has restless leg syndrome! He is always moving one or two legs up and down and back and forth , no matter if we're lying down or sitting in the rocking chair, until he finally settles with his little feet crossed, it's so cute!

We mostly nurse side-lying, so she does this thing where it's like she's doing jumping jacks with her one arm and leg. She flails around like crazy then all of a sudden she'll just go limp and sleep, lol.

DS just started popping his double jointed thumb on my side while nursing. It feels so weird! Yesterday he was pulling the neck of my shirt open, looking down, then sticking his entire arm down there trying to pull my breast out. Silly boy!

Ha! DD does this too- and she knows and does the sign for milk! I think she realizes she's so ready to nurse right this second and just goes for it. I have to pull her back, then she'll smile and do the sign.

She also cracks me up in the middle of the night; we nurse on one side and then I move her over to nurse on the other. (I prefer to have her fall back to sleep in between me and the bedrail b/c I don't trust DH) Anyway, while I'm readjusting myself and the covers she'll sit up and just latch on.

Patience is a virtue she has not yet mastered.

Funny thing mommy did while nursing when very tired: I was holding him and waiting for him to latch on. He kept squirming and wiggling, but wouldn't latch. Very strange....untill I looked down, and he still had the soother in his mouth....sucking as hard as he could, but couldn't get anything, poor guy!!

We are working on only nursing at night to encourage solids. However, I do allow him to nurse when I get home from work. He asks by pointing to my chest and then, as soon as I sit him down in my lap, he starts clapping and saying "Yay! Yay! Yay!" It is the funniest thing!

Ah, I remember this with my babies and it makes me miss nursing a little...which is funny because I always hated it.

DD1 would stand up and lean over to nurse in the night. During the day she'd be upside down, legs up on my shoulders.

DS has a habit of kicking my leg like I am a horse when my boob pops out of his mouth and I pretend to be asleep. Also when I get ready to unlatch my shirt he looks at me and goes BSC needing milk that very second. He also like to touch things, my arm, my mouth, my teeth, and then grabs any available nipple and twists.

That's funny! DS also pulls his hair, and he barely has any! And when I wear my curly hair down, he pulls on the curls and watches it bounce.

Ds will bring me the boppy whenever he wants to nurse. It's as big as he is and he drags it over to me squeaking. sooo cute! He also sticks his hand down the middle of my bra while he's nursing.
