frequent urination????

Hi, Was wondering if anyone is noticing they are peeing more frequently now than in lst tri. I am almost 16 weeks and have noticed the urgency to pee and go gallons (lol). I thought it was supposed to get better during 2nd tri, but for me it is now becoming more frequent.

Any of you ladies experiencing this?

I am definitly going more than first trimester. To the point where I'm annoyed every time I have to get up and go AGAIN. I'm 18 weeks today. Maybe later in the second trimester we will hopefully get some relief!

It only gets worse... I woke up 12 times last night (not exaggerating) to go pee, and I hadn't had anything to drink for 2 hours prior to going to sleep.

The fact of the matter is your body holds more blood now, so your kidneys are working harder and producing more urine. Add that to the fact that you should be drinking PLENTY of water, and that your growing baby puts added pressure on your bladder and what you are left with is having to pee all the time. It will not get any better, but only steadily decline until you finally deliver and your body begins to return to normal postpartum.

I think it depends on the women b/c with all 3 babies now right when I hit the 2nd tri I don't barley pee. In the 1st tri I woke up about 2 times a night to pee. Every single nigt. Now I have slept all night 2nights in a row and not to mention that I have drank something before bed to. Good Luck and I hope it gets a little better.

It all depends on how your baby/uterus are growing. At the beginning of 2nd tri I felt like I was hardly peeing at all...I was told it was because my uterus was starting to "pop" upwards and off my bladder, but the baby wasn't big enough to weigh it down yet. Now I am peeing like crazy, both because my ute is getting bigger again and the baby is getting heavier. It's normal to have fluctuations though.

Oh man, mine has been X10 what is was 1st tri. I read somewhere that it can be worse 2nd pregnancy because your uterus is lower? It stinks because I have to go all the time, and it's that "I have to go RIGHT now" feeling when it hits. Hopefully it gets better for us all!

Mine went up 10 fold when I hit 2nd tri. I said something to my doctor about how I thought 2nd tri was supposed to get better in the pee department, and he laughed at me.

I also have to go way more than I did in the 1st trimester. I did have terrible all day sickness for all of the first trimester so maybe that's why it didn't seem out of control then. But now it's insane. Most days I go 1-2 times an hour, and I've been waking up 2-4 times a night for 3 weeks now. My doc checked me for a UTI, but no issues there, just have to go all the time. She said not to worry about it since nothing is wrong.

I pee way more now than I ever did during 1st tri. My OB said that's normal and not to worry.
