because DS FINALLY latched on! So instead of being plugged in to the pump I had a baby at my boob all day but I'll take that

I used a nipple shield and for whatever reason he knew what to do. I'm really hoping that tonight will go easier than the past few nights of bottle feeding, changing, and pumping. Fingers crossed!

Yay! Keep up the good work mama! Just make sure your shield is big enough (they come in different sizes) and definitely still talk with an IBCLC about your use of the shield and nursing in general. Great progress!!

Last night of course he was still up every 2-2.5 hrs but the time it took to nurse only made such a huge difference! Still moving slow from the c-section but at least we hopefully have the nursing down, at least for now.
