Done with 1st RE appointment!

First of all, thanks to the Chicago ladies who recommended FCI.  We went into the River North office, and I LOVED them!

I was still pretty nervous this morning, but once we met with our RE, I definitely felt at ease.  He was very nice, funny and seemed really down to earth, so both DH and I felt really comfortable with him.  We really didn't do anything except the consultation, standard HIV test for DH, and a HCG test for me.  I'll get the results back tomorrow, and if it's a BFN (which it will be!), then I can start Provera.  Once AF shows, then I'll come in for CD3 b/w and u/s and go on BCP's for one cycle and then I guess we'll go from there.

I definitely need to lose some weight, which I already knew.  I'm going to take advantage of the fact that we're not starting any other IF meds/treatment right now to make some changes. I've gained a lot of weight in the last year and a half (since getting off BCP's), and before starting anything more than meds, I want to at least see if that helps any.

It feels good to at least have somewhat of a plan and know that I'll be monitored for everything we do from now on!

    So glad it went well!  I'm at the FCI in HE and will be down at the River North IVF center on Monday--I'm glad to hear you had a good expereince with the River North office.  I'm really happy with FCI overall!  Good luck to you!

    It is nice to finally have a plan and know that someone that knows what they are doing is monitoring you.  Sometimes when I monitor my levels, I feel like I have no idea what I am doing.  Good luck with the new plan!

    IUIs #1-3 (1x unmedicated, 2x Clomid) = 2 BFNs, 1 m/c at 7w3d
    IUIs #4-6 (injects) = 3 BFNs
    IVF #1 = BFN
    FET #1 = BFN
    FET #2 = BFN
    IVF #2 = BFP, b/g twins lost at 20w due to partial abruption/PPROM
    IVF #3 = c/p 5w2d
    Long-shot Clomid/Prednisone cycle before next IVF = BFP, our beautiful, healthy girl born 6/26/13!

    FET #3 - May/June 2014     -     all embryos arrested before xfer - back to the drawing board...
