I'm a baby. I admit it, but I can barely get out of bed the nausea is so bad. Then I threw up last night so hard I was crying by the time it was over. Emma is getting into everything and I feel like an awful mother for keeping an eye on her from the couch. Crackers, lemon heads, sour things, peppermint, my Sea bands, nothing is working the way it did when I was pregnant with Emma. So do I call my OB and ask if there is anything else or a prescription so I can at least get up and take care of my child and self better? I'm slowly becoming convinced that I'm the worst mom ever for letting this get me down so bad. Help please!

I feel your pain. Taking care of toddlers while deal with morning sickness is brutal. I would definitely call!! With both of my pregnancies I took B6 and Unisom and it helped A LOT. It is over the counter and the my dr said the safest first option for dealing with morning sickness. I know it doesn't help some people, but might be worth a shot!
I got the melt under your tongue B6/folic acid vitamins from Trader Joe's because I literally couldn't take a pill without it triggering my gag reflex. I also take the adult gummy vitamins. Then for the unisom pills I always took a half and they are so tiny that I could swallow them.
Good luck!! I hope this passes quickly for you. I was sick until 13W and one day I craved food again and life has been much better ever since.
I would call. I had terrible m/s with both kids and my midwives would not give me medication
Anyway, they said it was b/c I was too dehydrated (and they were right). I know its so hard to keep anything down, but I started drinking a teaspoon of water or gatorade at a time (while lying down) once every 15 mins for an hour or so, then slowly had more until i could sip it all day. Dehydration always got me, but try to have even a tiny bit of liquids. I promise in the end it will be worth it! If you can keep up with some liquids you will feel like a whole new person!
Even at 22 weeks - I still throw up (or at least dry heave) SEVERAL times a day - but I am the extreme case. Zofran doesn't work for me but Unisom (yes, the sleep aid - on the shelves of the grocery store) works to keep me out of the hospital and able to work and be productive.
Call your doc and ask - you're not being wimpy - dehydration will be a vicious cycle you can't get out of without some medical intervention.
This! though if you take zofran, take some stool softeners with it as it makes you super constipated.
Agree! That is not wimping out- it's doing whats best for you, baby, and DD! It doesn't hurt to ask!
My first pregnancy, I did have to be put on something for nausea. I could barely eat, drink, etc., and I had to go to work. It was hell. It did help, but I had to take it at a certain time before I ate and that was kind of hard to remember since I wouldn't feel like eating. Hang in there. <hugs you>
