So has Bethany Frankel's post baby body been discussed?

Seriously?  When she came out in her bra with her six pack only months after giving birth I wanted to vomit up the cake I was eating lol.  I mean who has a stomach like that right after birth?  She had like ZERO loose skin on her tummy.  It really makes me sick lol.

  • Meh, she's ok. I don't think she's that pretty and I've always thought she was too skinny. She also has money to pay for a personal trainer and she's a chef, I believe.

    No I don't think she is pretty I was solely referring to her six pack stomach.  I know she probably has a trainer and all that but seriously in that episode her baby was only a few months old....

  • I think I saw a magazine cover this week with her on it talking about an eating disorder.  Or at least I believe that's where it was going.  The headline was something like, "I was obsessed with being skinny".  So maybe that has something to do with it?

  • Pretty or not, her body is reeeeediculous. Unfair as all getup. She probably works her butt off for it, but I swear to god there's no way in hell I could ever look halfway as good.

    Oh the article talks about how she used to be obsessed and have an eating disorder and now she's fine and normal. And probably weighs 90 lbs!

  • I think she looks amazing. She is a natural foods chef and has been for awhile- I'm sure she eats healthy all the time and she does a lot of yoga. She is also a long and lean framed person. I don't think being back to your normal size 6 or 7 months after giving birth is unreasonable.

    Yup.  this.  Agreed.  I have also known several people who actually have a BETTER body post baby.  I am one of them.  Pre-baby I never could have gotten a six-pack.  I don't have one now, but I probably could if I tried hard enough.  The structure of my body changed completely and now my stomach muscles protrude forward more.  Maybe this was the case with Bethany?

  • She probably worked ridiculously hard to get her body back so fast. she also probably has the luxury of a full-time nanny so she can do her workouts as often and for however long she wishes. I don't think it's unreasonable to be back to pre-preg weight/size within 6 months if you're working out hard and eating perfectly every single day. Which is probably why it took a whole year for me to get back to pre-preg weight. No motivation over here!

    Then again, did you watch the show when she was pregnant?? When she went into labor, she was about as big (bump) as I was at 20 weeks! If my pregnant belly had been that tiny, I might have looked like that PP. Ok, well not quite that skinny and toned, but definitely better then I did ;)

    TTC since 8/13 - diagnosed difficulty conceiving due to LP defect. Took vitamin B and Vitex Berry to help lengthen.
    BFP 2/14 - Missed M/C found at 8.5 weeks. D&C at 9w2d. Partial Molar Pregnancy.

    She did not go full term- her daughter was born 5-6 weeks pre mature.

  • I have to give her credit....she clearly is working HARD. I respect that. She has a baby nurse, and probably does get a bit of time to herself. The part that had me FLOORED was there was no wrinkled, hanging skin! Impressive!

  • I seem to remember someone calling her out on lipo...which is completely fine, and def something that I'd like to do...lol  But i think at the time the calling out was due to her saying that she lost it all "naturally" to promote her new book.
  • I have a coworker who has her 6 pack back and her baby is only a little under 4 months. She is a gymnast.  No personal trainer, or expensive nanny.  But then again, she didn't have quite the same "college experience" that I got to since she was working out 90% of the time that she wasn't studying or sleeping and I wouldn't give up my college years for an amazing body.

  • i dont think there is much to discuss.  if you have good genetics, stay in shape during your pregnancy and put in hours of exercise every day post-partum - well, you get old your body back.  i think we need to remember what her old body was...its not like she lost the babyweight and then some.  she just lost the babyweight.

  • Yeah, that made me sick...LOL. I did notice she only ate half that chilli dog, I doubt she eats a lot and I know she's a super health freak. I woulda scarfed that whole thing down! I can't hate on her though, she looks good!

    Yeah, exactly.  I guess I shouldn't mention that I'm 2 pounds away from wedding weight after having 2 kids.  Do I have some loose skin?  Yeah.  But my muscles are back without starving, eating disorders or working out.  Some people just have those kind of genes.

  • I couldn't believe it when I saw that episode..I think she looks skinnier now than she had before she even got pregnant!  Then again, maybe if I had a nanny to watch my kids, money for a trainer and was a chef then its possible I could have looked like that after having DD.

    This. Plus - have you looked into eating natural, whole foods? I don't follow totally but I have been making some changes in our eating to lean toward that direction. Putting only natural things into your body + understanding what is healthy and how your body uses it and following it faithfully = great body. The end. Me = not great body cuz I just ate a bowl of ice cream Smile

    Ah. I didn't realize she had gone that early. That makes sense.

    But still, most of my belly "damage" (stretch marks, most of my weight gain, etc..) happened in those last 1-2 months. So I'm sure that's part of why she bounced back so quickly.

    Like PPs said, a lot of it really is genes too. And if she works out and eats really well.....most of my friends looked like they did PP by 6+ months. And I have a few who look amazing in a bikini and I know how they eat and their work out routine and they're not overboard...just lucky ;)

  • I had to google her and see who she is and what she looked like... I don't think there is anything unbelievable about getting a flat stomach back in a few months if she is eating right and exercising. I had my flat stomach back. I worked my ass off my entire pregnancy, at the gym until my due date and I was back there at 2w post-partum.

    Absolutely this.  It is entirely possible to eat well and exercise daily, nanny or not.  It's not like it was some magical occurrence.  She worked for it

  • LOL. If I had professionals keeping track of my diet and exercise, I might have had a better chance at the six-pack. I actually think she's kind of funny looking though.

    I also wonder if those who think, No way she can already have a 6-pack!!  had a 6-pack themselves before they got pregnant?

    see, muscle has memory.  so, if you had a 6-pack before you got pregnant it comes back very easily.   if you didnt have a 6-pack before you got pregnant, well, you probably wont have one afterwards either.
