Most annoying thing since being overdue...

Somehow my old manager from a job I worked at years ago still has my phone number. She has been texting me every day to ask if I've had the baby yet. Each time I tell her "No baby" she responds by telling me what I should do to try to induce. I can handle (barely) friends and family asking everyday but an old work manager? That's a little ridiculous.

    Ugh I am so sorry.  It is so frustrating when your friends and co-workers keep asking.  I am getting annoyed at my co-workers who keep saying every day I show up at work "You're still here?!??!"  I mean geesh, do they think I wanna be past my due date!  I feel your pain.  GL to you.  We will meet our LOs soon Smile

    Oh this drove me crazy when I was overdue with DD#1!  

    To the OP - Don't you just love how everyone comes crawling out of the woodwork to know if you have had the baby?  I know they mean well, but wow, can it be annoying!  Then people have the nerve to tell you, "well, you should just have that baby already", like it is something you never thought of before talking to them.  I'm really not looking forward to this part this time around...

    Totally! I haven't talked to this specific person in YEARS and now she's text stalking me- weird. One of my recent co workers writes on my facebook wall every day "When are you having that baby?", I brushed it off because I thought she wasn't being serious and come to find out she was. Seriously? She's coming out of my vagina when she's ready.

    Wow, that's kind of a little stalker-ish!  Personally, I would conveniently "forget" to respond to a few of those texts.  Smile

    I, too, am getting SO TIRED of everyone at work asking me the following questions or giving the following comments:

    "When is your last day?  I thought it was today!"

    "You're still here?  I figured you'd have popped by now!"

    "When's that baby coming?"

    "Are you ready to be done?"

    OY VAY, PEOPLE!  I still have 2 dang weeks to go!  I am SO GLAD next Thursday is my last workday.  Can't imagine if I had to hear that past my due date...you girls are all saints if you've put up with that!

    Strange...And I'll bet she disappears again shortly after baby.  People love the anticipation of a new baby.

    Not overdue but the questions are driving me insane! If I come to work late because of my dr appt, I get all kinds of, "I was wondering where you were... I thought you had the baby!" and this one guy keeps calling and saying, "did you have the baby yet?" and finally last time I said, "No- I'm answering my work phone aren't I?" It's ridiculous. Anyone I see or talk to keeps commenting on when she's coming. I've already made it clear that NO ONE is to know when she comes except the guards at my office and they are telling everyone I'm just sick until I get home from the hospital- I've had 2 people tell me they are coming to see me when I have her- UH- NO YOU AREN'T, I don't know you... I just work here and having a baby is my private time with DH. Sadly, I have to check into the hospital as confidential because one of the women who said that works where I am delivering- thankfully not in a capacity to find out anything about me... but still. I think I'm kinda b!tchy today, lol.
