what are the rules regarding sex while going through IVF

 is it a no-no? or can you with protection?

no one said anything about not doing it, but im thinking it's not ok at some point...we are on day 9 of meds...what are your thoughts?  thanks!

also is my husband supposed to "abstain" from "things" a certain number of days before retrieval?

    As long as you haven't triggered yet, I would think it is ok.  My RE says that during stims, the men should ejaculate every 2-3 days up until trigger, unless there is a sperm issue. 
    I say go for it.  This is no pressure sex for fun, not baby making.  I love having sex "in cycle" because I know there is no pressure for us to make a baby...that is what the RE is for.  Have fun!

    The ony restriction we were given is to make sure we obstained for 2-3 days before retrieval as that is when DH had to give his sample.

    we were never told not to during the cycle except right before retrieval and after transfer until beta.
