DD has been potty trained for over a year now for day but still isnt completely at night. I really dont expect her to be yet though she wakes up dry from naps 90% of the time and at night 75% of the time (though its becoming more common this past week). If she doesnt wet her pull up at night, I reuse it for the next nap then throw it out weather its dry or wet. DH would put it on her for the following night too if I would let him but that seems too much. I view them as like underwear, only one day of use per pull up. It seems wasteful to throw them away after being worn for just an hour long nap though. Thoughts?
Re: Is this gross? (i.e. Reusing dry pull ups)
I agree with you. I think of it as underwear. After she wears it one night, throw it out. It is dirty (pee or no pee).
Edit:
I might have read your email wrong. If she is only wearing them for an hour during a nap, then you don't need to throw it out.
ditto that. I know if after dinner we change him and then take a bath a 1/2 hr later---we'll just use the pull up the next morning (he uses night times for night).

95% of the time dd wakes up dry. She always stays dry during naps, so we just use a pull-up for overnight.
I put a pair of panties on first, then the pull up. So we might use a pull up for a week or more. To me that's not gross. They are always clean panties, so I think it's fine. To throw away a clean pull-up seems so wasteful.
i think that is totally fine. when we get to the pull up stage i will probably use this idea.
also i would never have thought to use undies under a pull up, but that kind of makes sense. like they feel the wet in the undies and get the idea but you don't have to strip the bed every morning, is that why?
Thanks for the comments! Sorry I was a little confusing, I was bumping and pumping and in a hurry.
