There was talking and giggling at 3AM

and it wasn't from me!

DS woke up at 1AM, we nursed and he went right back to sleep, like usual.  Then he wakes up at 3AM talking up a storm in his crib.  I walk in and see his big bush baby eyes and he laughs at me!  This went on for about an hour until DH went in and re-swaddled him.

I'm assuming this is what the 4-month wakeful period is all about. :)

    That's cute! Neither of my kids went through the 4 month wakeful. Might be because neither of them were too concerned with learning new skills or anything. You know, like rolling or moving in general.

    DD had a crib soother. Right about 4 months she would wake up in the middle of the night, talking to herself and would kick the crib soother until she was completely unswaddled...  on and off. On and off. On and off. onandoff. For an hour or so. I never went in, just watched & listened on the monitor. Eventually she'd go back to sleep. Super cute.
