Just have to AW my mad sweet crocheting skills. I made it for a friend's of mine little girl who just turned one. I have been making hats for two weeks now just getting the hang of it, and today tried something a little harder.

The colors might not show up well on the image, but the hat is in a very pale, pastel green and the flower is a purple kind of color. I am actually colorblind so I don't have a clue, but DH said they matched!
Re: PIP of what I have been doing on bed rest
Preemie ID DDs; then DS; then natural M/C; now due 10/17
High risk for pre-term: weekly Makena injections
I am so ADD that I have do something to keep my brain occupied, especially when DD is napping. Counting stitches is a great way to pass some time.
A.C. Soup-yeah sure! Hahaha, I am not good enough for orders yet, hahahaha.
But here is the matching set I did for DD (before I knew how to make the big flower) and DS when he gets here.
soooo cute!

They are super cute. It looks like you are under estimating your abilities when you say you aren't good enough for order just yet. Hope you continue to make more and build some confidence in your abilities.
Thanks for the confidence boost! I am doing a few for different friends and they are going to cover the cost of yarn as I get the hang of it. I have known how to crochet since about 12, but stuck with blankets, haha!
To PP who asked for my pattern: I don't really have one yet. I have turned it into a hybrid of different patterns I found online and in my grandmother's old crocheting books. As soon as I get more comfortable that I have turned it into more of "my own pattern," I will share. The flower did come from the Lion Brand website though! Again, I am going to make some changes with it because I didn't like how parts of it turned out.
I am now working on a plain beanie for my brother. He has his own t-shirt design company and wants me to start making them for him to sell here and there, but I have to move beyond the baby sizes first!
Thanks everyone. You made me feel awesome.
sweet.. really great work.
I'm knitting like mad...a stroller blanket.
Walmart sells looms that make perfect infant hats....for those who don't know how to crochet or knit. It's super easy.
