  • Opps didn't realize it's "My Brest Friend"  I have boobies on the mind!Wink

  • DD and I had trouble at first and I had to encourage her to latch while giving her formula through a little tube hand pumped with a syringe at the same time for a few weeks. This wacky process would have been even harder with out the my breast friend pillow. The breast friend pillow is amazing because it makes hands free breast feeding possible. I tried not to use it as much when I no longer needed my hands to be free because cuddling the baby close is probably a good thing. I was worried baby might fall off of the platform if I stood up and did not have a tight enough grip.

I rarely used the boppy for BF, but it is a handy item to have. I used it for tummy time, extra help when DD was learning to sit.

  • I didn't use either for BFing, but just putting them on, the MBF is much more comfortable for me.  There also seems to be more support for the baby, but I guess that would depend on how you're sitting when you use it.  BFF used a Boppy and she would sit half-reclined on her sofa, back to the armrest, knees bent so the baby was cradled in her lap and supported by the boppy.

I also liked that the MBF had a handy pocket for the remote control, water and snacks.

  • LOVED the MBF...and it's not just for BF'ing...works great for any feeding, baby sleeping while you work on the computer...heck, he lived on the first few months and I could walk around and do things with one arm free....Yes
  • I had both, but preferred the brest friend pillow. Honestly though, if I could do it over again, I would have skipped both. I rarely used them and felt most comfortable laying on my side with baby nursing while laying next to me. Then once the newborn stage was over, I always had my computer open while I nursed and the brest friend/boppy would get in the way.
  • I have a different one - it's a big very flat type that's sort of like a My Brest Friend, but it's by Summer.   I got it at the boobie store at Evergreen.  I LOVE IT.  I didn't really like the Boppy... My kids would sort of roll into it since it's round... This one is flat so they lay on it almost like a table.

  • I have used and love both. I have a boppy which is handy when DS naps on my chest. I put it behind his butt to help hold him up and I rest my computer on it so I can surf while he naps =) I also use it for tummy time or to prop him up after eating since he has reflux. Though I think I generally prefer the MBF for nursing.

I didn't have a My Brest Friend pillow (I had a Boppy), but loved the one that I used at Max's 2-week pedi appointment. I liked it way better than my Boppy because my little dude was not so little. It's hard on the arms to breastfeed an almost 10 lb baby. But I was lazy and stuck with the Boppy.

I don't think I will use either with the next one. I have arms of steel now! Stick out tongue

  • I used both and found them both useful.  The Boppy was nice for propping him up in before he learned how to sit on his own.
  • Both!  My Brest Friend is the best for the first few months, the boppy is better as they get bigger.  I was so happy I had both!
