Nightime Routine for 3 month old?

Hi, I'm new to posting, but have benefited through my pregnancy and ML by reading all the good posts on these boards. I'm returning to work in a couple of weeks and am curious what others schedules are like when they pick up DC from daycare. Right now we don't have any schedule or bed time since I"m on leave and and he can pretty much nurse on demand and sleeps when he wants. I know I won't be able to keep this up when I return to work but we're not sure where to start. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    At that age, I kind of followed her cues.  Usually she would nap when she got home (daycare is very stimulating).  Then she would wake, we would play for a bit, give her a bath, put on her pjs and feed and then down to bed.  I think she was down to bed by 8:30-9 at that age and it's gradually moved up to 7 now.

    I did the same as you before returning to work -- I let him eat and sleep when he wanted and put him to bed when he seemed like he was ready, not on a schedule.

    Since he started day care, he has sort of developed his own routine.  When he gets home between (5:30 and 6) he will eat once and then sleep a little -- maybe 15 or 20 minutes.  Then about 7:30 or 7:45, he gets a little fussy and lets me know it's time for bed.  I change him into his sleeper, nurse him again and then rock him to sleep.  He's usually down for the night between 8 and 8:30.

    I like this routine a lot, so I am hoping it sticks!
