Haha! I've tried lotion so that's not an option... But what do y'all do to stop the itching? My belly itches constantly and I'm always applying lotion like crazy!! Is that all I can do for it?
I have been using Burt's Bees Momma Bee belly balm. If you are using regular lotion, maybe try the belly balm instead? It may give you a little more moisture than regular lotion.

You could try Sarna lotion- my MW recommended it to me. It's a cooling, anti-itch lotion that's perfectly safe for pregnancy. I use it a couple of times a day and it doesn't make the itch disappear, but it makes it better for awhile. I also make sure to drink enough water and hydrate my skin (I use coconut oil) everyday, in addition to the anti-itch lotion.
GL! It can be distracting and a pain certainly, but OMG, just being able to sit and scratch your belly feels soooo good!
Your belly is itching because of stretching. And there is no sense in putting on lotion or oils if your skin is dry. Wet your belly and pat dry, but not all dry. Should be damp. THEN put on lotion to trap in the moisture. What ever you do...DON'T SCRATCH. Unless you want even more stretch marks.
I use Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Balm every night and it's really helped with the itchies. It's all natural (as all Burt's Bees products are), scent free, and has several different kinds of oils in the balm so you're skin gets really moisturized. And the best part about it? It completely absorbs and doesn't feel gross on your belly or rub off on your clothes!

Your skin does not need to be wet for oil to moisturize it.
I had intense itching on my belly for a few weeks ago, moving to maternity pants that were all the way up or nothing at all on the belly helped. And I lotion three times a day with cocoa butter tummy butter and/or cocoa butter oil. Everyone told me the oil was messy but I rub it all over and wait about 2 minutes before putting my shirt on and it feels great.
Re: Make it STOP!
You can try benadryl. Call your OB.
Talk to your OB at your next appt re: itching. It is something worth mentioning in the event it's more than just dry skin or stretch marks coming in.
Got cha! Thanks.
