i was reading in the baby book "week by week" that at this age he should be eating like 3x more than he is eatong. it said 2-3 servings of fruit, 2-3 servings veg, 2-3 TBS of meat, 2-3 servings of grains. 2 crackers, 2 cheese or yogurt...etc !
im lucky if i get 4 oz of 1 thing 2-3 times a day !
he still takes almost 40 oz of breastmilk but i try to space it out to make him "hungry" for food.
anyone else having "trouble" getting LO to really get into solids & eating?? i hope that there is nothing wrong... i really dont know what i could do to heighten his interest.....
he also has little interest in slop. he wants solids, like SOLIDS.
Re: anyone's 8 monther NOT LOVE food yet??
My dd is only 7 1/2 months but hates solids. She spits it out every time. I have tried everything. The only thing she'll eat are green beans- and only a few bites.
My dd has dropped from the 80th percentiile to the 14th percentile since her birth so that is the only reason I worry about her not eating solids. If she was maintainig her percentage, I wouldn't give it another thought. Someone else mentioned her pedi said as long as she has wet diapers and puts on some weight, he isn't concerned - my pedi said the exact same thing.
