40 week appt
Well I went to my 40 week appointment this afternoon at 2:00. I'm am still 0cm and 0% and haven't had one single contraction. My blood pressure was a little high (140/80) for the first time this pregnancy, so they decided to send me up to the lab to run blood work and provide a urine sample. Then I had to go to L&D and do a NST. I passed the NST fine, but my labs came back and showed that I had protein in my urine and low potassium.
So I get to do the 24 hour urine collection from 4pm today until 4pm tomorrow and go back to L&D for another NST tomorrow at 4:30. They don't want to induce me yet because my cervix isn't doing anything at all and they said the induction would be unfavorable. They'd prefer to wait until next week if possible. However, if my 24 hour collection shows a high enough content of protein or if my BP is still up tomorrow, then they're going to keep me and induce me tomorrow evening or Friday morning. If my collection shows that my protein levels are low and my BP goes back to normal, then I will more than likely be going back in on Monday or Tuesday for another NST just to monitor everything.
So I may or may not be induced tomorrow, and if not, I will for sure be induced by next Tuesday or Wednesday. Doctor said that the baby looks absolutely perfect, it's just me that's causing problems lol. Fingers crossed that either my cervix decides to do its job before a necessary induction tomorrow or that an induction doesn't become necessary for a few more days at least.

Not knowing when LO is coming is driving me NUTS, I'm sure the uncertainty is driving you bonkers too!
