Ketogenic diet

Lincoln started the ketogenic diet on Saturday, and we have been seeing high ketones in is urine since Sunday mid-day.  For those of you whose LOs are on the ketogenic diet, how long did it take to see a difference in seizure activity, if you saw any changes at all?

    I don't have any personal expirience with the keto diet, as my LO is not a candidate, but I have done some reading on it & have found the Epilepsy Foundation website has a community section called parents helping parents, & there is a board dedicated to deits & nutrition. You may want to check it out, everyone there is very helpful. Good luck & I hope the diet helps you guys get some control.

    I think we saw a true difference within the first week.  We also changed (or decreased) one of LO's medicatations, and I think that was more of an adjustment than the whole Ketogenic diet.
