I have my first OB appointment tomorrow, and I'm wondering what is standard for this group.
I'm going to see Dr. Long. I'm a little over 6 weeks along, and have heard lots of differences between practices on what gets done at this appointment.
Any input is appreciated, thanks!
Re: Group Health Associates OB's
I go to GHA but I've only seen Dr. Buckly, Dr. Samol, Dr. Badawi and Dr. Lewis (my primary and the one who delivered Brynn). Those are the 4 who deliver at B. North.
At my first appointment I pee'd in a cup, it was confirmed that I was pregnant and then I was given a packet of information and the general information about what foods to avoid and lifestyle changes that would need to be made for a healthy pregnancy. I was also given a perscription for pre-natals.
I will say at the begining of my pregnancy I wasn't too sure that liked GHA and the doctors, but with the complications that arose (pre-e) and how each doctor handled it, I love them and will definietly be staying with them for our next child. Well that is if all the doctor's remain.
Congrats on the pregnancy!
I see this group too! I actually love them. I dont see Samol and Badawi much but I love Dr. Buckley and Dr. Lewis. I have gestational diabetes and they are handling the situation and me very well. They also deal with my husband who asks a million questions. I really like the care I get with them. Congrats on the pregnancy!
