I have a nanny who works VERY part time in my home taking care of my child while I go to a few college courses. So she works 3 days a week, totaling about 10 hours or less a week. However, next semester, I need a nanny for about 20 hours or more a week.
I only use her if I'm in classes, or if I have a date with my Fiance, or if I need someone to watch the baby while I'm organizing, or studying.
Should I get a Nanny Camera, even though I like my nanny? Can you ever be too safe? My nanny signed a contract saying that she agrees to a position that I may or may not use a nanny camera.
I myself used to work as a nanny for years. None of the parents I worked for ever had a camera, but even if they did it wouldn't have bothered me at all.
IDK, what are your thoughts ladies?
Re: Nanny Camera... To get one, or Not to get one?
I like your comment... if we were to do daycare I'd get one with a camera as well. Some people think its a bad thing to log in, or its intruding on my nanny's privacy. I'm sorry but the nanny is in my home, not hers, and nothing she does in my home is private (with the exception of using the bathroom of course).
I think I have the right to see how my child's day is being spent and to ensure that she is being cared for properly and to my standards. I'd think that any mom would think it a good idea.
Thanks for the insight ladies.
