Does anyone watch house hunters?

I love this show

but it always amazes me how lazy some people are.  Some people turn down a house because of cosmetic things that can easily be changed (wall colors, even furniture- which makes no sense since the furniture doesn't come w/ the house)

I saw an episode yesterday - this couple had a huge budget and 'must have' list.  One house met all their wishes- except the husband didn't like the wall color and the light fixtures.  He made a big deal about it- he didn't want to do any work on a house and if his wife hadn't talked sense into him he would've had that be a deal breaker. 

I hope people on the show just act like that b/c they're on TV and want the drama

    I watch every night! It's all so staged. I hate the people that are bad actors though. Lol

    Yeah- I mean nobody looks at just 3 houses and picks one.  I like watching it for inspiration for our next house.   Or decorating ideas.

    I love that show! Esp House Hunters International. But you're so right, these people act like carpets or paint are permanent. As a DIY fixer-upper, I scoff at them.

    Yeah, it really bothers me when people complain about the furniture.  What's the point???  It doesn't come with the house!

    I love that show, I'm obessed with HGTV. The only thing I hate is when they update that they are now expecting at the end.

    Love this show too!!  And I totally agree about the cosmetic stuff.  When we were trying to sell out house last year, we got those comments.  They didn't like paint in the kitchen so they moved on... um hello, it only takes a day to paint a new color.  So frustrating.

    Oh and the ones where there's a baby at the end... cannot stand those.

    glad I am not the only one. It also drives me crazy when they talk abotu their future family because people just take for granted that will happen...then again, many of us probably did at one point in time as well. It is still annoying to me though.

    Chiming in late here. I LOVE that show but I spend most of the time yelling at the people, ha! "You can change the paint color IDIOT"!  Embarrassed Man I wish I had the $$ some of these people had to buy a house.

    Yes!  I love HH international.  I love how they look at a pile of rubble and talk about the great potential, and HH writes it off because of the paint in the 3rd guest bedroom.
