How long did it take you to figure your baby out? To be able to tell what the problem was right away?
BC's cries all sound the same to me. Some are just more urgent than others. I don't really know what any of them mean, I just take a little guess from her body language.
She started crying really hard since last night on and off and I cannot figure it out. We have done everything so I am taking her to the dr. this morning.
I go to the dr. about once a week. I wish I could figure her out on my own.
Re: I can't figure my one month old out...
It took about 6 weeks to fully figure out Fenton's crys.
Here is a breakdown that might help you:
1. Hunger: the crying gets louder and louder and becomes more urgent until he is given what he wants.
2. Tired: the crying is like a whine doesn't really get louder but definately sounds like he is tired and needs a nap.
3. Needs a Diaper change: the crying doesn't get louder is just persistant.
I'm not very good at telling her cries apart either - I know she's hungry if she's crying and it just gets louder. If it's gas, her face gets all red, she pulls her legs up towards her tummy, and sometimes farts.
You're not alone
