Why or why not? I will obviously talk to the pedi but we were planning on starting at 12 weeks and now we are thinking about a delayed start at 12 weeks adjusted age or maybe getting a nanny permanently. I'm concerned about immune issues, mostly.

Re: XP: Did you put your preemie in DC?
Here is my response on a previous post:

Just to note, that my son got a flu shot at his 6 month appt and his 9 month appt. As well, he qualified through our insurance for the Synargis shot (RSV) for November, December, January, February, and March. So I think that has helped. He has not had to go home sick from daycare since he started in September. He had a cold in September and in December, but it was managable. We use the Nosefrida to suck out his snot (gotta love being a mother) as well as the Boogie Wipes and Lil Noses Saline Drops.
I have a 24 weeker who is now 7.5mo actual. He started daycare yesterday. We pieced together as much coverage as possible to get him through RSV season at home. We weighed our options carefully and decided to go with daycare since we did not want to pull our 2yo out who has thrived there. I am also a pediatrician and I am not sure I would recommend this to my patients. But sometimes you have to do what you have to do. We will reevaluate as time goes on, but it is made easier by the fact that we were already very comfortable with the center and people. He has had a few colds already thanks to big brother and has gotten through them well. I hope this is a good omen. I am almost more worried for next winter when I am not sure he will qualify for Synagis.
I would talk to your pedi and do not do anything you are not comfortable with. Good Luck with your decision.
