I am sorry to hear that you are having a rough night. I have my brother and his girlfriend here visiting and she just gave both the older kids haircuts while my brother held the baby and I made dinner. I have been tending to the older two kids while they oooh and aaahh over the baby.
I usually am on my own with all three 5 nights a week though. Them coming over once in a while is how I keep my sanity.
If you need a break, go in the bathroom and close the door. The baby will be fine. Take a few minutes to yourself.

My LO only screa,s from gas pains. It really sucks because I'm helpless to get rid of the pain. I just hold her and rock her as she works through it. It's rough.
No, but she was around 4 this morning. I ended up putting her in her bassinet and taking a break before I started crying too. She ended up falling asleep.
Dee,
Mommy to: Sofia, born 2/9/11, as well as three dogs, two cats and a multitude of chinchillas.
Mine has been all day. Finally I got fed up, put her in the car and drove her to the mall. We walked the whole length of the mall and back at around 6:45 this evening and got back home at 8. She has been in her carseat sleeping ever since. She needs to be fed now, but I am afraid to wake her up... Oh well, here goes nothin' lol.
My LO has been screaming off and on all day and I hope it's from gas pains cause she was exposed to chicken pox and I am terrified that she has been so cranky cause she's getting them. I would much rather deal with gas pains cause I can give her mylicon drops than to have a 2 week old with the chicken pox. Right now it's just a waiting game to see if any bumps pop up that aren't baby acne. Still scares the crap out of me though.

I know it's tough when you have no idea what is wrong or what you can do to make LO feel better, but don't let it bother you too much. I start by getting loud in a silly, drawn out voice and saying "Ooooooooh what's wrong with the baby!!!!????". This makes her stop for a second and look at me, which is very cute.haha. Then start your S's...shhhh,swing,suck,swaddle. I find music or singing also calms her for a few seconds. The pacifier makes her forget that she's unhappy or her belly hurts for a few minutes until it falls out. If all else fails and you're frustrated.....HAND LO OVER TO DH!!!!! We can't be having you headless.

I'm a little late to the party but wanted to join the screaming baby parade. I keep asking her what is wrong but all I get are angry cries. Poor baby! I've been using the 5s but she ignores everything. It can take awhile for her to calm down and fall asleep when she gets cranky like this.
