Where are you buying maternity clothes locally?

I am right in the middle of WI, but am desperate for maternity pants that I can try on, and will drive anywhere - Appleton, GB, Madison, Milwaukee and Minneapolis. All we have here is a Motherhood Maternity store, then that's all Kohls and Gordmans sell as well - I hate it. Please recommend the stores you have found pants in, I don't care how much they cost, I just need to figure out my size, pick a pair or two up and find COMFORT.

Thanks ladies!!

  • I haven't bought any yet, but I am going to try goodwill and some other thrifts stores before I try the expensive place. Maybe try online too? Again, I haven't checked there either since I still fit pretty comfy in my jeans, but I should probably start looking! It's getting more snug everyday...

  • I bought most of my maternity clothes from 2 hand stores, mainly children resale shops(cause women only wear them for ~7mths or so), but I also bought at old navy, target, kohls, shopko and walmart.  But you could try craiglist too and see if you can try on the clothes. GL

  • I bought my maternity clothes at Kohls.
  • The best pants I have found are from the Gap.  Some Baby Gap stores have a maternity section, I went to the Mayfair one and hit an awesome 45% off sale.  Their maternity pants can be pricier, but they are worth every penny to me.  I feel so ackward right now that the last thing I want to do is be pulling at my clothes.

  • I have had really good luck at sears. they seem to have the biggest selection of any where I have gone. I also have gotten them at JCpennys some instore and some you have to order. On a side note I really like the over the belly style as the under or mid i feel are uncomfortable especially as you get further along, becasue they dig in or feel like they are falling off. I am not sure what size you are but I have a few pairs of the under the belly and over the belly that dont fit me if you are interested. In addition i found buying underware difficult also i have tried the bikinis, mids and one called fold downs. I prefer teh fold down type from two hearts sold at sears. i like them because at first you can wear then under your belly and as you geet bigger you can pull them up over the top. not pretty but comfortable. Hope this helps
