Don't ask me how I got in this position. When I was hugely pregnant, waiting until I was home on maternity leave to PT sounded wise, now I want to kick my own a$$!!
I started PTing DD last summer (no formal method) and she was doing great, but my DCP didnt want her in underwear unless she was 100% trained and I didn't want to use pullups. I made one excuse after another to put it off (vacation, holidays, baby coming) and here we are, 2 months away from turning 3 and still in diapers.
I have read the 3 day method, but I am afraid I won't be able to focus with a newborn. Any tips?
Re: Anyone PTing a toddler with a newborn?
I did.
are you sure she is ready?
It wasn't easy- however my DD was VERY ready and it took about a week of being VERY vigilant
Ok- So I am potty training now at 7 month pregnant w/my toddler who will be 3 in April and I also have a daughter who is 1 or who will turn 1.5 in April. They are 18 months apart.
I made all the excuses in the world als- but due to our situation, I knew that my DS was not ready and the changes we had earlier in my prengnacy (travel, moving, etc) would not be the best idea. My son does not do well with changes, so I knew that there was probably too many things going on for him to concentrate on PT. Now......it's very challenging, but I am doing it- I have no idea how, but I am doing the best I can. I feel like a bad mom because my almost 1.5 year old is being left out.
Motherhood- I tell ya......
