s/o vacations... weekend trips?

DH and I are looking at taking a small weekend trip (just us) in a few months.  Where would you go?  While Gatlinburg is on the table, we're open to other suggestions.  We want something low key, not too far away (no further than Gatlinburg), not too expensive...  good food, chance to play mini golf more than once, take some short hikes, etc...  (hence the Gatlinburg thought).  Suggestions?

    Have you looked into Hocking HIlls? We are headed there at the end of march..I could let you know? Probably no mini golf though

    We have been to hocking hills and I remember we did play mini golf. :)

    We are going to hocking hills for a birthday weekend for DH in 2 weeks. I have never been there, so I can not tell you anything about it...but many people have told me it is a great place!

    Wherever!

    We do small weekend trips several times a year to reconnect. We've done Indy, Columbus, and Louisville.

    The Smokies we usually save for longer trips so we can do more. After the drive we find it's hard to squeeze in all the activities we want to do without feeling rushed.

    Usually we'll look for deals on activities & restaurants to decide what we're doing. Or even decide on the city based on deals we've been able to find.

    Wherever you go... have fun!
