I have a new nephew

My sister, who got "accidentally" pregnant, had her baby today. I am utterly exhausted, but she had a great labor and he is absolutely precious!

Being there with him, it really hit me just how ready I am to be a mom and how hard it will be if I get a BFN this month.

Single Mother by Choice. Life didn't work out the way I planned so I did it on my own. IUI #s 1-3, unmedicated = BFN, IUI #s 4-6, 50mg Clomid, Ovidrel = BFN IVF #1: 23R, 20M, 17F. 5 day transfer 2 blasts. 2 Snowbabies BFP 6dp5dt, Beta #1 7dp5dt = 58, Beta #2 9dp5dt = 114, Beta #3 10dp5dt = 187 1st Ultrasound = 5/3, not much to see yet. 2nd Ultrasound = 5/17, TWINS!!! Hospital Bed Rest at 32 weeks due to pre-ecclampsia and severe edema. Audrey Grace, 5lbs9oz, & Lydia Louise, 6lbs, born via emergency c-section on 12/6/12 at 36w1d My IVF Journey

    Aw, I know how conflicting that feels. My younger sister just had her daughter a few days ago-- though she did not accidentally get pregnant with this one, it was with a year of trying. Anyways-- just enjoy your nephew. Perhaps the next will be ours! It has been hard every month that I have had a BFN after learning of my sister's BFP (I had just started trying when she told me she was pregnant)... harder more though for me are old friends my age that keep announcing their 1st BFPs on FB-- I keep wondering, how long did it take them? Just wanted to let you know, that i know very much how you feel right now. {{hugs}}

    IVF #1 ET 1 d3 embryo 10/30/11 BFP
    3 Embryos frozen (1 d5, 2 d6)

    DS born 07/29/12

    FET #1 ET 1 d5 embryo 02/10/15 BFN

    FET #2 1 d6 embryo didn't survive thaw, transferred last d6. CP :(

    Being an aunt is so much fun. Enjoy your new nephew and congrats, Auntie.

    I had someone (who 'accidentally' got pregnant twice) say to me recently, "wouldn't you just rather settle for being the cool aunt?"

    I love being an auntie!  I really, really do.  But I completely understand where you are coming from....I am so, so, so ready and it is difficult not to feel a little jealousy over my sister's kids and their remarkable fertility.  My little sister is a hawt mess in many ways.  She has two beautiful boys with two different men and is working on a 3rd with, yes, her 3rd husband.   She just turned 30 last month.  (All that stated is is a fantastic mother in many, many ways so the boys are well taken care of and safe and extremely happy)

    I guess I've come to terms with it by just focusing on loving those babies to bits. I'll have my turn one way or another and you will too!

    BFP 3/28/2011
    Diagnosed with GD at 28 weeks. Controlled through diet and exercise. No insulin.
    Diagnosed with Cholestasis of pregnancy @ 36 weeks.
    Delivered via C-section @ 36 weeks on 11/9/11.

    TTC#2 for a few months naturally (ha!)
    ~IUI#1, Clomid, Trigger,  10/13 - BFN
    ~IUI#2, Femera, Ovidrel, 11/13

    I love my sister's kids to death. Despite it being incredibly frustrating to deal with the "accidentally" pregnant, you will have fun with your nephew. Remember Hijoi's dream- we are so KU'ed this month! LOL.

    TTC #1 since 8/1/10; Me:41 and BRCA1+, DH:46
    DOR (FSH 24.3)/ terrible egg quality ; homozygous MTHFR c677t
    5 IUI's: 2/11 to 6/11 and 1/12= BFN
    OE IVF#1-4 8/11-6/12= all BFN
    DE IVF#1 11/12 bad embryos= BFN
    DE IVF #2 2/13 BFP/Beta hell: m/c 5w6d
    CFNBC 7 months, not doing well; decided on guarantee program at RBA w/frozen DE
    DE IVF #3 1/14  ET 4BB; BFP;M/C 5w1d, incomplete m/c; MVA extraction in ER 7w1d

    DE FET#1 ET 3/1714; BFP, beta 1 3/27= 197, beta 2 3/31= 1586, beta 3 4/7= 13879!!
    First u/s= Twins with HBs at 6w2d! We are Team Pink x 2!!

    K & K born 11/21/14 at 38wks 4 days

    Yep - I did the same thing this morning and it was negative too. Of course, it is still way too early. I don't get to go in for a beta until I get a BFP. My RE told me to wait until Monday to test, but AF is due Saturday so I should probably know by Friday as well.
