I think I just need some reassuance.
I've got the number for the RE I want to use. I've had it since lunchtime. Today is CD1 of Cycle 19. And yet I'm terrified to call.
I've been looking at their website all day and it is filled with all the fancy, advanced stuff they do. I think I'm afriad they are going to tell me to call back when I find something wrong.
Somebody tell me I'm nuts and thinking too much--I'm nearly in tears thinking at the thought of making the call.
And feel free to make fun of me for being a baby--I'm blaming it on hormones!

SAIF/PAIF Welcome
Lots of love and luck to my PAIF/3T/IF Veteran ladies, especially my dear friend Zookie. Congrats to Papps, Teach84 and Starbuck on their little ones.
It took me months to make the call, but one day I just did it. I didn't think anything was *wrong* despite the fact that we had been diligently trying on our own for a year and a half, and we still haven't found anything wrong. But I finally recognized we probably needed some help, and it's been such a relief to finally start getting some answers. You will be so glad you took the next step, trust me! And the phone call wasn't nearly as scary as I expected it to be.
Good luck!

p/saif welcome
This is EXACTLY what I was trying to express but couldn't find the words!
I think I was feeling too hormonal yesterday and needed some reassurance. I've been putting this off and it is time. What are my other options? Continue to torture myself month after month or quit completely? Neither of those work for me.
And what's crazy is DH is finally ready to move forward and here I am sitting on the number and not making the call. But, I will today.
You'll feel so much better once you make the call- I promise! If I remember correctly, you are from the DFW area. If you are closer to the FW side, I can definitely recommend my RE, though it sounds like you've found someone you think you'll trust already.
9/2010: First visit to RE = CD3 b/w (normal); CD7 ultrasound (normal); DH's SA (normal but morph wasn't analyzed, so doc ordered a 2nd SA); Prog. supplements starting 3dpo for all future cycles
10/2010: SHG to check tubes (normal!) & DH's 2nd SA (normal)
2/2011: Start first Clomid + Ovidrel + IUI cycle = BFN
3/2011: IUI # 2 (Clomid + 50iu Follistim + Estradiol + IUI) = BFP!!!
Beta #1 (14 dpo)= 161
Beta #2 (17 dpo)= 518
Beta #3 (24 dpo)= 7,728

I called, then cancelled. Then called again, then changed my appt 3 times. I keep being convinced I'll get PG before I need to go. If I go, that means I have to accept the reality and I.don't.want.to. (Pouts)
I know it's so hard to be in this place, but think of how good it will feel to have a plan, and then, a success!!! Wishing you the best from your fellow scared-to-call Bumpie...

Just wanted to give you some hugs and say you can do it!
also, I am going to Dr. Le tomorrow, I know there are a few DFW girls here so I will post a review
Good luck love!!!
TTC since 2010
lots of IUIs and 1 IVF all BFNs
FET currently on hold
You are NOT nuts. I broke down in tears the first time I went to call the RE. I held off b/c I just didn't feel like I was in a good place about it. Its hard to basically admit defeat that getting pg on your own is ever going to happen.
It took me about 2 weeks to feel in a good place to call them and now I'm very glad I waited. I mean what's a 2 week wait in the scheme of things when I've been trying almost 2 years?!?
Don't force yourself to call them...give yourself some time to mourn the fact that you have to have intervention in the first place and I promise you, you'll come to a point where you want to make that appointment.
Good luck!
