Wondering if I should call the dr....advice please

So long story short my household has been fighting separation anxiety to an extreme for about 6 months now. DD won't sleep in her bed for more than 30 minutes now and has offically gotten to the point of screaming for 2 or more hours before falling asleep. She will not take her naps unless I am holding her which is new as well. And she cannot be anywhere without seeing me. DH has tried to help but all she wants is me. It has gotten so bad I cannot go anywhere without her clinging to me. We get calls from family who usually watched her before to come get her because she won't stop crying. At church she just sits it the corner in the nursery and cries until church is over. I am just so emotionally drained I do not know what to do or if I should call her pediatric at this point. Please help with any advice.

    6 months does seem extreme.  I don't have any advice, just loads of sympathy.  I hope the Dr can help.

    I wish I had advice!  I think it would be a good idea to call the doctor.  Take advantage of the resources you have.  Poor mama and poor LO - it sounds really tough.  Best of luck!

    I would call just to see what they say. DS was kind of like that. Has always been clingy to me. When he was 12mos we put him in day care since I had to go back to work. Drop offs were so bad with him crying that DH had to start taking him. It took a couple of weeks but he was able to get into the routine of Daddy dropping him off. He wasn't always happy about it but didn't cry like he did if it was me. Maybe your DH could take her to the nursery at church so she could get used to him dropping her off. It might help to start in easing the situation.
