What is the legal drinking age where you are? I realize that none of us can drink, but I'm watching a show that made me wonder...

    21 in IL where I'm at, but I know in some states like wisc, as long as you are with a parent you can drink when you are under age

    Its 21 here. Some states have goofy laws that minors can drink under parental supervision or in private establishments.

    It's 18 or 19 here depending on the province. It actually almost alternates.

    I was just wondering because I'm watching a Canadian show that takes place in Boston and there's a 19 year old that got drunk and was in a bar.

    I come from Ireland where it is 18.  I think in most, if not all of Europe it is 18 too!

    It's 18 where I live now, but where I'm originally from it's 19. My aunt's mother (Nana) thinks it's stupid that you can get married at 18, but can't have a drink at your own wedding. I agree.

    I live in Boston, the age is 21. There are a lot of colleges in this city and kids tend to have fake ids- which I am guessing is how the 19 yr old got into the bar.
