Best bottles for transitioning to EBF?

Hopefully DD comes home tomorrow and we will be mostly bottle feeding until she catches up on her nursing skills.  I have a few bottles to try but I always thought I would be going from breast to bottle and not the other way around!  I have heard Tommee Tippee and Mam are good - any thoughts?  I don't want to have to keep running back to the store.

Also, I know most bottles come in 4 oz or larger - is that a problem if she is taking 1.5 oz?  I am assuming not since even if the bottle started out full it would get doen that low eventually.

    It depends on the baby.  We bought one of every bottle in BRU.  It took nearly 6 weeks to get her to master the bottle, or even just to take one with out fighting it.

    She liked the Nuby soft touch at first but now evenflo is her favorite.

    Good luck!

    Oh and LO would only take very little at first.  I guess only enogh so she wasn't starving.

    I've had to supplement w/ formula since Baby Bee was 2 weeks old and we've had good luck with Dr. Brown's bottles.  She's always been able to go back and forth from boob to bottle easily w/o any problems.  But, I agree w/ PP - we had about 3 or 4 brands/styles (1 of each) to try. Dr. B's just worked the best for us.  Oh, and they make a preemie sized bottles with anipple that's really slow flow.

    I read your post wrong.  I had trouble with Playtex dropins.  She was able to take them no problem at first but after had trouble latching.  I stopped giving her the bottle for a while and that's when she started refusing any bottles.

    I found playtex drop ins to be closest to the real thing. It's the only bottle my DD was able to latch on to.

    We had good luck with the Playtex Dropins.  Their slow flow nipple was a lot slower than the Tommee Tippee.  The other bottle we tried was Breastflow; hated it.

    Huh, I never considered the drop-ins. I am definitely looking for a slow flow - I think she is getting too used to sucking down the hospital bottles!

    We've used the Dr Breowns w/ the preemie nipples since C came home. In the beginning I was having to suppliment w/ high-cal formula, so she was getting at least one bottle a day, and was able to go back and forth from bottle to breast w/o a problem. I believe the Dr B preemie nipples are the slowest flow avaiable out of all brands.
