For some reason my father had a collection of wheat pennies. He had them in a box that was in the back of a closet, under a bunch of sh!t. You couldn't even get to it, unless you took almost everything out of the closet. After he died, my mother would find wheat pennies all over her house. I thought she was insane, until I was staying with her and found one on my end table. This was at least 7 years ago.
The other day, I was looking for a piece of my mom's jewelry and found the box of pennies. I didn't think much of it. I just went to collect the huge pile of laundry from my bathroom floor (yeah I'm a slob). I see a dull penny on the bathroom rug. A wheat penny. Oh and it's from 1951. The year my mother was born.

That's super cool.
My grandpa and my mom collected all of the state quarters. Apparently, my grandpa had hundreds of dollars of these dumb quarters stashed in his office when he died. I guess before he passed away, he and my grandmother hid a boat load of them all over the house, so when my grandma dies, my aunts will get to find them all when they're going through all of grandma and grandpa's belongings.
