I really need a good vacuum and am obsessed with the idea of a Dyson. We have a lab and I feel like the hair is never really picked up, even with vacuuming every day. So if you have a Dyson, do you love it? What one do you have?
I found a deal on one for $246 and was looking for anywhere that would match it (BBB, Kohls, etc) but they don't carry the DC17. Any other ideas of places that would match? If I could get it close to $200, I think I could convince DH, lol.
TIA!
Re: NBR: Dyson
And they'll beat it by 10%-thanks!!
We have one and love it! I forget the model but I'm pretty sure it's the allergy one-it's blue I know that much!
Where'd you find the original deal? Can you post about it b/c I need to get a better vac too!! Thanks!
Telyco-I found it at Sears
I watched a video on Home Depot's site and one thing that I loved was that it has a 16 foot telescope reach wand. I was thinking that would be so helpful with my stairs instead of lugging the one I have now, up and down the stairs.
And home depot will beat it by 10%?? I may have to take a good look at this! Thanks!!

It is helpful for the stairs but it's really a pita for cleaning couches, under furniture, anything within a couple of feet. It's just really awkward. Also, the hose attached to the wand is really inflexible. When I pull to get more slack, the whole machine comes with it, not just extra hose. More often than not, the whole vacuum tips over onto the floor.
That's the only annoyance I have with it. We have 4 cats and I love it! We have the DC33, it's a non ball and non animal. I couldn't justify the extra $100 for a ball. The animal feature from what I've read is good if you have a lot of carpets; has stronger brushes. We have mostly Pergo, tile and hardwoods, just a couple area rugs and it does really well with the pet hair. It's also super easy to empty. I love that it empties from the bottom of the canister so I can put it in the bottom of the garbage and I don't have dust going everywhere.
