Pregnant after a Loss

Cramping at around 4 weeks

Hey everyone.  So, I have been having some cramping that is light at times and sometimes it gets worse.  AF was due around Saturday so I am about 4 weeks.  Anyone else experience cramping around 4 weeks?  I had some spotting around 9-12dpo but I was hoping it was due to implantation.  I really hate all this worrying!  I went for my first betas today and will hopefully go in for my second set of betas on Wednesday.  The waiting game sucks!

Re: Cramping at around 4 weeks

  • I had period like cramps from 4-6.5 weeks.  It's totally normal, though nerve wracking.

Was it on one side or all over?

  • I was wondering where you have been. Has your spotting stopped? I have heard/read cramping is very common. I have had a little (4 wks today) but mostly gas pain - at least thats what I think it is. GL on your betas and be sure to update us - lotsa sticky dust your way!!

Sorry, bump burp.  It was both (and yes when it was localized on one side I would freak thinking that it was an ectopic).  My mw said as long as it's not heavier than period cramps or accompanied by spotting, that it's normal uterus stretching stuff.  I still get crampy at 11+ weeks, like today for example, and it still makes me nervous though I know it's supposed to happen.

I don't think I have said Congrats to you yet!!  So excited for you!  I haven't been posting a lot.  I have just been really nervous and wanted to get betas back before I start letting this pregnancy really "sink" in.  Thanks for thinking of me!

Thanks! I know how you feel, initially I was going to do the same thing but I got caught up in all the excitement. I go in tomorrow for betas so FX they look good (as well as progstrn). Although I have been posting about it, it doesn't seem real yet, I don't think it will sink in until there is a HB and baby is measring on track! Praying for great betas for us both!

  • I had mild cramps around week 4 and 5 and little worse cramps from week 6 to 8.  The waiting game definitely sucks.  Hang in there and keep telling yourself the PgAL mantra, Today I am pregnant and I love my baby!  It really helps me get through my days.

  • I had AF like cramping, sometimes strong cramping, up until around 7 weeks. Sounds like your ute is growing and that will cause some pain. If it gets to be unbearable, then definitely call your doctor.

  • Hey Buddy! I have cramps too- and have for about 4-5 days. That was one of the reasons I knew I was pregnant in the first place because AF wasn't due yet. My doc said that they are normal and they can be localized to one side or all over. I got my first betas done yesterday and will hopefully have another draw in a couple of days. I'm keeping you in my prayers- I hope this is the take home baby all of us.
