Does anyone else's LO hate the crib?

DD will NOT sleep in her crib at all. I can put her down and she will coo at the mobile for up to half an hour before she starts screaming. She sleeps great in the RNP though.

  • She will sleep in the swing, RNP, car seat (on outings) and in our arms. Just not in the crib AT ALL.

  • Ugh!  Same here!!  We use the RnP also.  Lo has been doing 5-6 hour stretches there.  Nothing near a complete night of sleep.  I was hoping if he could stretch out in his crib...we would see better sleep.  NOPE!  He hate it.  I have tried a crib wedge, a mobile, soft sheets, bumper, no bumper, rolling up blankets as a "positioner" but nothing works.  I am thinking I maybe have to wait a few months and do a form on CIO where I go in to help soothe and leave again!?  I fear the RnP has spoiled him for crib sleeping!?

. I can't complain about her nighttime sleeping habits. She will go down around 9 and sleep until at least 3. Then will sleep until 7 at the latest. She was giving me a great nap in the morning but that went out the window since her shots and now she fights naps no matter where we put her to sleep. 1ht

  • Yes, we usually get a nice long stretch during the first sleep stretch.  Then another shorter stretch.  I am just getting nervous that LO should be able to stretch his legs.  I have been back to work for 3 weeks and LO is napping like crap in the PNP at the babysitters.  He is coming home super cranky.  I would love to get him into the crib.  (We had about 4 nights of bad sleep after the shots).

  • She used to hate her crib but it's gotten a lot better.  Hope for you.  I have no idea why.  I read somewhere to make the crib a fun place.  Have some fun smiley toy time in there during the day so she can get used to it.

  • DD would hate it if it wasn't for the awesome mobile. I am forcing both naps and bedtime to happen in the crib. I only move her to the bassinet when I myself go to bed.
