Yep...mainly in the left breast but a milder case in the right one as well. I'm miserable. Getting antibiotics today and the doctor said to put hot compresses on as well. Does anyone else have any more advice that may help?

Well, I'm not the PP, but when I had mastitis with my son I was told to pump, pump, pump, pump as much as I could. Apply a hot compress 10 min before pumping, then massage the area that hurts most while you're pumping. Try to have your baby's tongue pointed to the area that hurts if you can. Like, when I had it, the painful part was on the outer left of my left breast so I held my son in the football hold on that side. The baby's tongue has the most suction and will loosen the blocked duct better than the top of his or her mouth.
It took two days after I got my antibiotics for me to start feeling better. I did tons of pumping too trying to pump out the infection which seemed to help, especially since let down was so painful. I have had a decrease of production, but yesterday was my last day of the antibiotics and I am already noticing my production increasing again. I hope this helps!
Tiffany's advice was exactly what helped me...continue pumping and nursing, even though it is painful.
I would put HOT water in a disposable diaper and lay it on my breast...moist heat helped.
I am SO sorry. It was the worst pain I had ever felt...even after a c-section!
