Legally Unlicensed Child care costs

Does anyone have any figures relating to unlicensed child care costs?  We're possibly having a good friend care for our first baby but as she's currently carrying for her nephew and a couple much older kids she's not quite sure what to charge.  She's unlicensed and she would only be carrying for our infant and her sister's toddler at the time.  I'm not sure what she does for food for the toddler but we'd provide EBM or formula for our infant as well as diapers.

    My friend was going to watch DD when she was younger, but DH was unemployed and stayed home with her.  She is unlicensed and was going to charge $160/week for a newborn.  I got quotes for licensed homes from $180-200/week.

    There is no such thing as LEGALLY unlicensed childcare if they are caring for more than one family (which it sounds like they would be).

    If you are caring for children from more than one family in the DCP's home, it is illegal not to be licensed by the state of Minnesota.  I'm not sure how things like nanny shares work.  But that is the law.  I don't know how strict they are on it.

    It's legally unlicensed if they are caring for a family member and one other family.  The limit is on the # unrelated families.  They can have as many kids from the related family and the unrelated family.

    I help at a day care and this is true. One family besides the providers family (ie nieces, nephews, etc)
