? about periods, help! (maybe TMI)

So I've been on nuva ring since Oct 09 and have had no problems. Well, up until about a month and a half ago. It kept falling out, I gave it two weeks before I was fed up. So I took it out and started my period 3 days later. I then put it another nuva ring the following week and it stayed in just fine. I took it out on Tuesday, started my period Fri night. I had no cramping and no usual symptoms of my period coming. I only bled lightly and the blood was brown. I only used two pads. Usually I have about 2 heavy days and then my period is over after 5 days. This was incredibly weird. DH is out of town this week to Russia and I'm alone with DS, so maybe thats why I am a little bit more worried about it. I'm going to buy a pg test this afternoon just to make sure before I put the new ring back in.

Anyone else dealt with a weird period, or found out they were pg this way? TIA!!!

I used Nuva Ring for a while in college and thought it was great, until my SIL's doctor told her "I have had more patients get pregnant on Nuva RIng than any other bc." I think that I had been told that if it falls out and is out for more than 30 or so minutes it becomes ineffective. I stopped using it becuase it kept falling out, especially during sex.

Thanks ladies for your helpful imput! I am heading to the grocery store in a bit and will pick a few up tests. We talked about trying for #2 this summer, but if it happens now then its meant to be.
