questions about BC and PP

Ok, so.. I have a question...

Can someone please answer a few of my PP questions...

A little about me... 3 1/2 weeks PP, had an emergency C section, before DS...I was on BC for 9 years.... Nuvaring, took me 3 months after getting off Nuva to concieve (Fertile mertile over here..), My PP bleeding has stopped... every once in awhile I might have a small bit of fluid type spotting... but thats it, I am not breastfeeding, and hubby and I HATE condoms...

My questions are...

When will I get my first PP period?

Do I wait for that first period to end before start BC?

And... this is probably a really dumb question.. but, I never had "unprotected sex" EVER (As in....always prego protected) in my entire, "non-virgin life" (Im 25... no no.. wasnt a virgin until I was 30... lol) So, when can we have non condom sex again without risking an "Oppps! We werent ready for another BFP yet!"????

 I know, I know.. youre all probably shaking your head at my BC, PP stupidity.. But, hey! Im new to all of this, and like I said... Ive only gone 3 months of my entire SEX life non protected... So, Im not sure what to do with the waiting game.....

=) I almost feel like I should start blushing or something! I promise Im not THAT naive!

    From what I know you can ovulate prior to having your first period and there is really is no way for anyone to know when your pp period will start so it is best to have protection from the start so there are no "whoops". I think if you are BFing it can greatly affect when you get your first pp period as well.

    Talk to your OB about your BC options at your next PP check-up and when you get cleared from your OB to have sex.

    :) If I am understand your questions correctly...

    At only 3.5 weeks pp I would think you probably won't see AF for another couple of weeks at least if you are not breastfeeding. Once you are cleared for sex I would absolutely use condoms until you establish whatever BC method you are choosing to use.

    Wow. My post is totally all over the place.... I love being able to blame my rambling on my completely adorable son who likes to keep me awake all night long =)

    I guess my question should be more for second time moms, when it comes to when they got AF after baby......

    And I guess the answer to my other questions are.. Suck it up and use a dang condom until Ive been on Nuva again for a cycle or 2...
