I am so over all of the sickness and crud going around this winter.
Tyler has been sick for over 2 weeks with a cold/sinus infection, and he started on Saturday with the puking/diarrhea. I actually thought his tummy might just be sensitive to the new antibiotic, but yesterday Justin got slammed with the puking bug right out of nowhere. He was playing outside with DH, climbing trees, riding his bike, etc. He wasn't inside more than a half hour when he vomited the first time.
They are both down for the count today and Tyler is clinging to my leg. Poor guys. I can't wait till this is over.
How are everyone else's kids?
Re: For the millionth time
Ugh Katie! That sounds so yucky.
My kids are both on the mend and basically healthy at the moment. I am still worried that they are going to get sick again. We were suppose to go to my great-niece's 2nd birthday party with a ton of kids and I kept both of mine home. I feel like a crazy person but I am soooo not ready for one of them to catch something again. Spring needs to get here!
I hear you! You've had some serious illness too, I wouldn't play with fire.

The Chronicles of Justin and Tyler
I feel so bad for you guys. The Sistrkate family has sure had pretty much everything his winter. Like I said before, it will get better soon ::knock on wood::. I hope Justin and Tyler both feel better soon.
Alex is crummy. Which I hate to say, because now I feel like all I ever say is that he's sick. It used to be that he was absolutely fine! He's had the ear infection, the hives, the rough time with teething, all in the past 2 weeks. Now he's got a fever that comes and goes, is super clingy, and a cough that sounds terrible. I've decided that Alex needs a bubble.A nice safe, plastic bubble where he can be protected from ALL of the ills of the world. That sounds safe, and emotionally healthy... right?!?
That fever that comes and goes is really troubling!! I've had Tyler to the doctor several times for that and the only thing they've come up with is a sinus infection. When is the last time Alex was at the pedi? His ear infection could be back, or it could be sinus troubles. When they have that congestion, I wouldn't be surprised if there is something still going on. Poor guy.

Amen. I'm wishing for a speedy recovery for everyone's LO and a speedy arrival of SPRING! A spring that is here to stay, not that little tease that we had two weeks ago. We desperately want to get outside and play all day!
That's what I'm afraid of, that his ear infection didn't fully go away, or that it developed into something else. But everyone keeps telling me that it's "normal" stuff for a baby that's in daycare, stuffy and snotty nose, coughs, and all that junk. I need a manual, or at the very minimum a dashboard light that goes off letting me know that something needs to be checked. However, I'm also pretty sure that Alex's chart is red flagged at the Pedi's for me calling all the time.
And to answer your question, we were there about 2 1/2 weeks ago with his ear infection, and we're supposed to go back in about 2-3 weeks for his ear check and 9 month visit.

We are all actually healthy right now, and this is the best winter Jacob has had since he was born. I can honestly say we have had a good and mild winter...but I am so ready for spring.
Sorry for all of your sickness...hope everyone gets better!
I hope your boys are feeling better soon, Katie!
Luckily, we haven't been hit too hard at our house. (::knocks on all things wooden::)
C'MON Spring!
I hope your little guys feel better soon! And you and your DH don't catch it! Things have been rough at our house all winter. Right now we are dealing with bad colds, deep, flemy (spelling?) coughs, runny noses, and terrible sleep. N also has horrible eczema and a diaper rash so bad it is making his butt bleed. If things don't clear up within the week (it's already been over a week) I will probably send the boys to an allergist to see if they have any food allergies. I have been thinking about this for a long time but I'm just now to the point that I don't know what else to do so an allergist seems like a logical step. I'm with Kat in that the boys charts are probably red flagged at the pediatrician's office. Every time I call them I start the call with "I know we are there every week but..." and then I give them my latest concern. I swear I'm not a hypocondriac but babies can't tell you what's wrong and they always have the symptoms or an ear infection but never the actual infection. I hate this part of parenting. I love that I know M well enough to know when she has to go to the doctor. Plus she can tell me what's wrong.
Bring on spring!
Yes - I agree. Down with germs! Bring on Spring!
Luckily CJ's flu bug only lasted 24 hours and his ear infection seems to be on the mend. But everywhere I go, there's a sick baby or toddler. It's crazy! I just want to open my windows, air the house out and be done with all this madness!
Good luck Katie. Sorry both of your boys feel yucky

Second cold in a month. Last one ended up being bronchiolitis and he was finally getting over the lingering cough. BAM. Stuffy nose again (with the cough coming back a little).
UGH!!
