Outdoor concert

DH and I have only been to one outdoor concert and it was part of a summer festival so there were lots of food and drink (alcohol too) vendors.  They also let you bring in camping style chairs. 

I'm looking at some concerts for this summer and the venue's site states no chairs over 9" tall (only beach type chairs allowed) and only snacks in baggies or small cooler and bottled water (no alcohol).  Is this normal?  I always see/hear people talking about partying at these kinds of concerts when you have lawn seating.  We wouldn't want to get wasted but a few adult beverages would be fun and of course some snacks to go with.

    Are they selling alcohol?  That may be why they don't let you bring it in.

    It doesn't say.  Its a Mega Ticket sale.  You pay one price and get tickets to 6 different concerts throughout the summer, all at the same venue.  All I have been able to find is what is and what is not allowed at the venue.
