first embarrassing pregnancy moment

I sing in an octet group that rehearses once a week.  I got there today and right away started feeling dizzy. I stayed seated and didn't worry, thinking it would go away quickly like it has in the past - but it just kept getting worse.  I started shaking and sweating profusely and I was seeing stars.  The group noticed I wasn't singing and asked if I was ok and I let them know I was having a bad dizzy spell. 

A tenor went and got me some water from somewhere else in the building, and I felt strongly like I needed to lie down.  There was just no other option. I lied right down on the floor of the choir room. It was humiliating. One of the basses was like "well, this is a first for me".  I tried to keep my sense of humor, telling them that my blood pressure was just low and someone should make me mad.

I was fine within a few minutes, but OMG so embarrassing. Singing is hard.

    That's so not embarrassing. That's scary.

    Peeing yourself when you sneeze 5 times in a row is embarrassing.

    I got winded singing at church!  Take it easy, LO will be putting pressure on our lungs until baby drops just before birth.  Stick out tongue

    And I agree Kerr, that is embarrassing, even if no one else knows about it! Embarrassed

    I hope that doesn't happen to you again. It doesn't sound fun. It sounds like people were very understanding and concerned. I'm not sure if theres any reason to feel embarrassed around them. 

    also... my mom had 4 kids, and i would always make fun of her when she would pee herself when she sneezed (for some reason, she would tell me). I feel horrible for making fun of her now that i have done it as well. and yes..... it's super embarrassing.

    I sometimes get dizzy talking and standing when I am teaching at work. It hasn't gotten to the point where I had to lay down, though I am sure my group of juniors would throughly enjoy retelling that story.

    I know what you?re talking bout...last week when I was downtown, I had to sneeze and I peed myself a little. Of course after that my mood to go shopping went away lol

    I don't think that you should be embarrassed by that at all!  In high school, I was standing in a veterinary operating room with a class of about 25 and passed out.  I started seeing spots and feeling dizzy prior to passing out, but I was stubborn and didn't say anything or sit down.  I woke up on the floor with the class staring down at me, and I wasn't allowed to move for ten minutes.  The vet just continued the surgery around me!

    I thought that this was sort of embarrassing until a friend of mine passed out while dissecting the cat in class...and face-planted into the open cat.  Um, GROSS.
