when should I be taking fenugreek/blessed thistle?

I've been taking fenugreek and blessed thistle for awhile now.  Is there a best time to take it so that I can get a maximum amount when I pump?

    I took mine 3 times each day, morning, noon, and before bed.  I read somewhere it's best if you don't eat or drink 15 minutes before or after you take it so that's always the rule I follow. It's worked wonders for me.

    I normally take is at 6am, 3pm, and 9pm.  I nurse DD around 6:30 and pump at 8:45.  I didn't know if I should be taking the first dose closer to pumping time because I have poor output when pumping, but am fine when nursing.
