Recommend your pharmacy for IVF meds please!

Asking for a friend... which on-line pharmacy can you recommend for ivf meds? I had insurance coverage so I just used a local pharmacy, but I know others have found better prices on-line. Any recs? Thanks!!

  • I will be using Freedom Pharmacy and ICORE for my meds.  ICORE had most of the medications cheaper than Freedom but a couple of them were cheaper at Freedom.  I will be stalking this post though to see if there are any other recommendations.  I have not handed over the credit card to either of these pharmacies quite yet (although I expect to today).

  • I used Alexander Twin Pharmacy based in NJ. They overnight it and they were the cheapest I found fot the meds I was taking.  I was taking Follistim.

  • I liked Schraft. I think they might be affiliated with Walgreen now.

  • Ok- Alexander was cheaper for 3 out of my 4 medications for OOP expense.  The only problem is that if I bring insurance into it (my insurance pays for 50% of the cost) the price per vial goes up.  Alexander and Freedom both told me this...ICORE said the price would not change (I'll believe it when I see it).  So, it is still presumably cheaper/the same for me to go with ICORE when using insurance.  But if your friend is totally OOP then it does appear that Alexander is a little cheaper (Gonal F is cheapest at Freedom so far).

    This whole IF thing SUCKS!

  • I used Austin's in Towson (if your friend lives in MD too).  I've also used Freedom Fertility too.

  • I was lucky that insurance covered my meds with a copay, but Freedom Fertility had fantastic customer service.  They were just wonderful, answered all my questions, got the timing right, and their shipping was great.

  • We used Alexander Twin for both our iui's and ivf. They were cheapest and overnighted for free.
