Clomid's effect on CM

Hi ladies,

I posted about BW results on the TTGP board last week.  As usual, the ladies were helpful in discussing my OB's recommendation to start clomid (which I was leary of on Cycle 6).  Bottomline my BW came out "normal" 7 DPO, with the exception of P4 being at 7.8.  The OB said that was "low normal" and since I have some irregularity in my periods, she said it was reason enough to try clomid.

As I said, I am on the fence and will likely be getting a second opinion before I start that.  But in researching the side effects of clomid I read that one issue is it can cause vaginal dryness, and/or dry up CM.  I typically have plentiful CM and last cycle took Mucinex because I had some sinus congestion and it created even more!

Have any of you experienced this "dry up?"  Can you take mucinex while on clomid? (I didnt research that yet, it came to me as I was typing this post)

    I have no idea about the mucinex.  But yes Clomid did dry me up we use pre-seed.

    ditto that pp, pre-seed all the way. can't BD without it on clomid.

    It dried my up last time and today is a different story so I am not sure!  We just try to be patient and take our time...it's frustrating though.  I've told DH it's normal though and we do our best...
    Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!

    You can take mucinex while on clomid - and my OB had me on it.  But when I asked my RE - he said it doesn't do anything to help.  And he's right - b/c it didn't help me get pregnant. 

    He said only use it if you have a cold.

     TTC #1 since 6/09
