How do you know when LO is ready to be PT?

My DD has interest in the potty but still lies to me when I ask her if she pooped in her diaper. I want to potty train her but don't know if she's ready for the "responsibility".

    She is still fairly young and I found it was best not to push them if they're not ready. Some kids even at that age can be embarassed by pooping and that's why they lie (you often see them go off to a corner to do it in private!) If she's showing interest though why not give it a shot...I used a reward chart system that came with laods of great tips from www.victoriachartcompany.com. Have a look, it might help you too.
