  If you're thinking of freezing some meals and don't normally do so, you might find my blog interesting. We generally eat about 1 freezer meal a week (and we have lots of freezer space), so I plan to get a pretty big stash in there before baby shows up.

  Thanks for sharing. I've never done freezer meals before and plan on doing so now. How long can they last in the freezer?

  Most things are good for at least 3 months - I have eaten soups well past that (closer to 6 months) without any problems. They won't kill you if you leave them in longer, they just lose some quality.

  I've been doing this too, I hear ya on the long cooking sessions.  I used to do the 6+ hour sessions once a month just to stock us up so we would eat out less, now  I just double the recipie for dinner each night and freez the "doubled" portion.  We committed to no eating out for tne months of Feb and March so I'm hoping to really build up a stash.  So far I'm up to 18 meals (we ate a few on lazy days).  There are several books and lists that will give you shopping lists and recipies for once a month cooking.  It helped me a TON with the grocery shopping and prep portions of mass cooking.
