So my friends just had a baby boy last week (yay!). This is their second in 2 years and they registered for almost as many things as we have for our first. The tacky part? Somehow she linked her FB account to the online registry so that every time something is purchased it shows up in her feed. Like "Sarah bought some onesies" or whatever. There are so many purchases that it actually outnumbers the number of "congrats on your baby" posts.
Am I wrong to judge?
Re: so I'm judging my friends
I'd judge too -- I think that's incredibly tacky. I'm glad I deleted that registry application when I realized it was just too much info to be posted on FB - which was the day I added it.
I also think the registry that's as long as she had for her first baby is a little tacky too.
wow
I registered for #2, just in case someone asked...MIL mentioned throwing a shower. However, only DH knows that I made a registry. I haven't told anyone, even people that have asked me what we need/want.

I totally get this reason for registering for a second baby-you do need some new things. Its mostly the fact that every single purchase shows up on FB that seems over the top to me. It feels very "you should buy a gift too--all the other friends are doing it" or something. I'm happy to buy them a gift to celebrate their baby and would have done so either way but the FB thing is a bit much.

Why on earth would someone link their registry to FB?! That is crazy.
I know! And this woman is usually extremely classy...it doesn't add up to me at all.
