I thought the show was very predictable, but Anne Hathaway did a great job hosting. James Franco, not so much.
Natalie Portman looked AMAZING- so glad she won best actress.
My best dressed picks: Hilary Swank, Reese Witherspoon, Halle Berry, and that sexy bombshell in the red dress from Winters Bone (cant think of her name).
Worst dressed: Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Any Adams (yes I said it, I didnt not like that look on her) and Scarlett Johansan.

After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I pretty much agree with you. I wasn't crazy about Reese Witherspoon though. I thought she looked blah and didn't quite pull the look off as well as Julia Roberts did a few years ago. Nicole Kidman was awful and I like the colors of Cate Blanchett's dress, but it was dreadful overall...her hair and make-up looked nice though.
That bombshell in red is from Louisville actually! :-) Jennifer Lawrence.
I was so disappointed in James Franco. I love him, but he sucked it up. Anne Hathaway was great though. I feel like the Oscars are always a bit more stuffy than the other shows though...so I'm not sure what I expected...just thought the show was generally a snoozefest. :-)
Natalie Portman did look great as did Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Hudson. I agree Cate Blanchett - What was going on there? Also Melissa Leo - her dress was hideous too. I love Amy Adams but rarely like anything she wears to award shows.

I went to bed on the early side, but I thought it was a boring Oscar show this year. I really didn't like Anne or James - she kinda annoyed the crap out of me, I felt like she was trying wayyyyy too hard.
I agree with you on Amy Adams, but disagree on Scarlett. I loved her purple dress and I am not typically a ScarJo Fan.

Anne Hathaway seemed like a giddy highschool girl to me (not necessarily bad but just not OH LA LA Oscars!) and James seemed to read the teleprompter only with no expressions.
The Justin Timberlake & Mila whoever interaction wasn't funny (and yes, I know who Bankse is) nor was the Russel Brand & Helen Murin. It was just not a well written show, IMO.
I LOVED, however, when Sandra Bullock came out to announce best actor and just "talked" to them - I know it was written but it seemed like the most authentic part of the night. Furthermore, I was happy she got a shining beautiful moment (although I wish she would have SMILED more). I hope Jesse is sitting at home with Kat Von Skank rueing the day he screwed that up (although I think he's just a total screw up in general and will continue to screw up in life).
I absolutely can't stand Anne Hathaway.
Liked Mila Kunis (?) in the purple. Hated Reese Witherspoon's getup.

I think James Franco just downgraded himself after last night- HE IS BORING!!!
Anne did an okay job- but come on- bring back some real talent to host next time. She needed a new wardrobe- Rachel Zoe must have pregnancy brain to have chosen those outfits for her! We went from a storm tropper gown to a flapper nighmare! Her red carpet dress was the best-she should have just stayed in that.
Russell Brand had no business presenting with Helan Mirren- that was just classless! He is a pig!
I did not understand why Oprah- can we just have a non Oprah moment please!!
